PART THREE

I haven’t done one of these in a little bit. So, okay, this part of the script that I read was very great. You’re continuing to show why Frieza is such a great and purely evil villain. This diabolical and sadistic megalomaniac was giving me Emperor Palpatine vibes throughout this whole part. And we got the official introduction of the Prince himself: Vegeta! 🔥🔥🔥 But let’s get into the nitty gritty details that I personally enjoyed and picked up on throughout this part, shall we?!

  1. It’s cool that we still get to see Namek here. I know that most of this film takes place on Earth, but since this film is basically a fusion–HA!–of the Saiyan and Namek Sagas, it would feel kind of counterproductive to NOT have Namek show up in some capacity or another. I’m currently reading through the Namek Saga in the manga right now, so I now have a bit of a greater understanding of the general importance this planet and the entire Namekian race have to the larger lore of DB.

  2. Wait. “The Namekians avoid facing him. Mothers embrace their children to protect them.” But I thought Namekians didn’t have breasts or penises! 😅😅😄😄 They are a hermaphroditic species that reproduce asexually! But, then again, I suppose they would be classified as both mothers and fathers because of that. Eh, maybe I’m reading too much into it. Luis, please help explain this! 😅😄

  3. Holy crap, man! This entire scene on Namek was so brutal! Frieza is just a straight-up monster. Nothing more to say here. Except in this version you had Earth’s Dragon Balls and Namek’s Dragon Balls be one and the same, I guess? If so, it’s a cool change that, again, works in the context of this universe.

  4. THE PRINCE HAS OFFICIALLY ARRIVED! 🔥🔥🔥 And he’s happily roasting the crap out of people as always! 😄😄

  5. Frieza telling Zarbon about the legend of the Super Saiyan is an interesting moment because it really shows that Frieza was always afraid that the Saiyans would outnumber him and outclass him in terms of power, and that there would be a warrior with even greater power that would lead them. So, he blew up the planet with almost every single Saiyan on it wiped out in an instant. Because Frieza doesn’t trust anyone he cannot control or manipulate or scare into submission.

That’s all for now! See ya!👋🏻👋🏻
